The London Mathematical Society (LMS) congratulates Professor Peter Giblin on receiving an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours. Peter became an аĿª½±member over 50 years ago in 1965 when he was a PhD student at King’s College London. He was a member of аĿª½±Nominating Committee from 2006-9, the last two years as Chair, a Holgate Session Leader 2015-18 and gave an аĿª½±Popular Lecture in 1989.
Peter chaired the British Mathematical Colloquium (BMC) Scientific Committee from 2008-11 and the Heads of Departments of Mathematical Sciences (HoDoMS) from 2005-7.
